So i came across this w124 e300 d. The guy claims it to be a car in really good condition and is at 3.8 lakh inr(about6300 usd), no negotiations. I call him and ask him about the engine, and he says it's a 24 valve v6. When i asked him if this comes close to a turbo version interms of not feeling slow and noisy, he said yes to that too. Doubtful of this, when i search for an e300d with a v6, i get nothing. Do w124 e300d's have v6 engines? Even the picture he posted looked like an i6. (Pics below) Also, does the 24v non turbo version come close to the turbo version in not feeling slow and noisy? Thanks in advance
P.S: could anyone living in India please tell me if they've come across any good w124 turbos anywhere?

300d is a straight six - that's what the picture shows, which is the correct engine of an OM606. They do not feel like a turbocharged engine either - you need to rev them a lot more to get out the torque. They aren't noisy on a run, and are pretty refined, but at idle they are dieselly.

IIRC 136 bhp?

They're slow. There's no confusing it with a turbocharged 606.
