Hi. Just picked up my 124 and drove it home. Stopped off in the pub to celebrate my purchase (for ONE pint) and continued my journey in the dark.

When I turn the lights one, there's no illumination in the dash at all. Not on the cluster or any of the switches.
The manual says that its on the same fuse as other stuff that work fine.

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks in advance

I think there is a fuse on the back of the instrument cluster that can cause this

Sounds like a job that can wait until the Haynes Manual arrives..

Twist the dimmer switch(trip reset) a few times to clean the rheostat.

    No problem.

I'll pre-answer a few you may have whilst I'm here.
The centre vents only blow fresh cold air, and yes, the mirrors are meant to be different sizes:D

    Cheers.
The different sized mirrors are my favourite design feature.

...and I've come from a T4, the centre vents do the same.

Yes, I like the sheer oddity of that on my 124. Apparently the engineers decided that that was the best solution.

Shame that neither mirror gives anything like a useful image!
