Futile attempts by the selling dealer to fix non-operative driver and passsenger heated seats on our 1995 W124 cabrio means my money is now on failed heater elements being the culprit - budgetry constraints apparently restrict his mechanic to simply checking fuses, connections etc. rather than undertake a more meaningful diagnosis and repair (but that's another battle:mad:).
I understand from this forum that both 'butt & back' heater elements are sewn onto the leather so the replacement of both elements would involve lots of new leather also which would undoubtedly equate to multi dineiro
Does anyone know of a competent Mercedes specialist or trimmer who could do a 'proper repair' i.e. replace the heated elements and keep the current leather seat and back pieces which are in reasonable condition. I have neither the time, facility or, more importantly, capability to undertake any of the ingeniuos DIY solutions offered here so I have no option but to pay someone a reasonable sum for doing it right:D.
Anyone have any recommendations - ideally backed up by first hand experience?

Many thanks

Many thanks NW Merc - they look exactly what need ..... but how much of a problem is it swapping the existing pads with these replacements? My understanding (possibly wrong) is that the OE items are stiched/glued to the seat covers so they'd need to be removed n'est pas?

Do a search theres loads of info on here, i replaced my pads which are sewn into the leather by simply slitting the material apart and sticking the new pads in, also fitted same waeco pads to wifes 203 which didnt have heated seats also easy to do in fact much easier than 210.

Easy way to check elements is use a multimeter set to ohms umplug the seat from the car and doa circuit test on each element , both of mine were open circuit ie broken.
