Evening all, my tickover is at about 500 rpm, and seems a little juddery. Am I able to adjust or is it a computer gizmo that I need to get it plugged into to change it? Any advice appreciated,

Mike

If I remember correctly your idle speed is controled electronicly, do the engine rev's drop when you turn on the air con?

Haha if I had air con lol... No it just seems to settle at around 500 when warm, slightly less when cold...

Thanks for the links, does that gadget cover the 300td as well as the petrols?

Hi
had similar problems with my 300TD when I got it, mine had lost the engine speed sensor, which stopped the rev counter, so replaced that, but then I found a duff temperature sender and replaced that - and then I managed to diagnose a duff ELR... After replacing that the car is still working fine three years on.
The doc that carat 3.6 amg posted looks like the paper I used to sort it out, but I didn't need the reader, just a cheapo multi-meter
cheers
