if this is the same then the w210 its under the glove box. You need to take two screws off then slide the panel out and there you go, the filter is there.
it is behind the bulkhead under the windscreen accessed from under the bonnet - quite a bit of dismantling to do iirc. I assume that you have factory fitted a/c; I do not think there are any pollen filters on cars without a/c.
Chances are that they will never have been changed as they are 1. not so easy to get to and 2 cost about 20 -30 quid for the pair - if you suffer from condensation problems then this could well be the cause.

I believe that if it's got air con then yes. You can follow the instructions given above which will give you a glimpse of the filter "fins", just under the wiper mechanism, if you can see 'em you've got one!
