Sorry, another question!

I have just noticed that my rear (near side) electric window switch doesn't work. The window itself works fine from the front, and the other rear one works from both front and back switches (child lockout thingy is switched off) but the nearside one doesn't.

I have also noticed that the illumination on the same switch also doesn't work: could it be something as simple as a wire off the back of the switch? *Hopeful smilie*

How do I get to the back of the switch? Thanks!

This is for a W202, yours may be a similar set up, you could swap the switch over to the driver side just to confirm if it is the front halve of the switch or the rear halve of the switch that is at fault.

remove the two screws in the front of the cubby box (if yours has one). then pull that away. then remove the 1 screw that holds the wood in place.

pull the wood away and upwards to access the rear of the switches

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear: it is the nearside rear switch, in the rear door, which I think is faulty. The switches at the front all work perfectly.

Anyone, please?

Pull the lock surround off to get at the back of the switch.
