W124 rear subframe.....

Hi all, can anyone clear up if the rear subframe on a W124 cabrio is the same as a coupe, and even the saloon.
Logic says coupe and cabrio should be the same but...... I need a spare to refurb for mycabrio

Check on the parts catalogue to see if the part number for the subframe is the same.

I am fairly confident a 320 coupe subframe will fit a 320 cab chassis.

If there is a difference it may be around the 4 extra bars that fit to the bottom of the car that help stop wobble, check they don’t attach to the subframe, or pass through it like they do the exhaust

Hi, thanks for reply, I have just contacted my local dealer in Ipswich, suffolk, and found a helpful chap who confirms that they the same number, but need to check if the extra stiffening bars used on cabrio actual fix to it....
You mention checking part number, I’m certain I used to be able to get the genuine Mbz parts catalogue online, do you know how to access it if it’s still possible ?
