My 1993 A124 320CE Cabriolet has what looks like a dealer fitted Scorpion 364T alarm and immobiliser, which also operates the central locking. The problem is that the (single) remote control only works when it wants to, which is usually after I've taken it apart and put it back together again. It seems to me that the buttons are the issue, since it has a new battery.
In the interest of reliability I would like to replace the system with a modern one. I have read that the current Scorpion SA30 system is an almost direct replacement for the Scorpion 918 model, but I wondered if anyone knew if it is also a straightforward replacement for the 364T model.
