Hi all, will someone please suggest what things I need to check/replace
in a W124 300E-24 (M104) service?
I bought this car recently and I want to get its engine components serviced. It has no service history so I think taking a look at everything will be a good idea, All suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Best,

Usual stuff. Plugs, filters, gearbox fluid unless you know its been done in the last 40k. Belts, engine mounts need checking. They eat distributor caps and genuine ones are best. If yours is of uncertain origin well worth changing.
Change all the fuses. Not expensive and can prevent all sorts of odd electrical issues.

Those engines are very hard on ignition components so I would start with the following: Spark plugs, HT leads, Distibutor cap, Rotor arm, and it would be wise to renew the heat sink compound under the ignition module.

The fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, and engine oil, would be next. Also if it hasent been done you might want to change the gearbox oil and filter.
