Good aftenoon everyone

I have found a set of W124 Bilstein B4 shocks and the seller told me that they also fit on a W201.

Just wanted to consult with you before I proceed to buy.

Thank you.

They may physically fit, but they won't be suited to the car in terms of damping rates/length etc.

It's not like B4s are difficult to find for the W201, they're still listed in Bilstein's catalogue.

Thanks; Yes there not hard to find as I have found them from another seller. Just this seller told me they're the “same” and made me wonder.

They will fit the W201 but they will ruin the ride quality. I have a set in the loft that I fitted to my W201 and then took them off again.

Thanks. The thing is that for the 190e the price is like close to 100euros more than the 124 ones the seller quoted me.

Don't know if this helpful or not but a w124 250d uses exactly the same front shock absorbers as a w201 190d 2.5. Same part number. These cars share the same engine (n/a om602).

Might therefore be worth knowing what engine the second hand w124 Bilstein B4 shocks came from and if they are from a car with the same engine as your w201 (or even the same approxiamate engine weight?) then they may be suitable.

Hello, the shocks quoted are brand new, not second hand. Its fine, I have bought the ones for w201 and not the w124 after taking into consideration the replies received to my threat.
