Does anyone know what the jacking point repair part number is. My man at mercedes said they are only supplying full sills at c £330 now!

I was sure they are available separately fir c £50?

I think he's right, The whole sill only available..

Geewhiz. Thanks billy. Had my skirts fitted and 3 of the 4 jacking points are fine. Ns front is showing signs of rust and thus I thought best to get it fixed.... not worth a full sill tho!

As long as the tubes and the actual jack point where the rubber pad sits are ok then a cosmetic repair will be fine.

I got some by typing the description into google images and getting the part number from the picture but not fitted them yet they were £6 odd from mercedes each

Did you get them from mercedes recently then? Have you got the part numbers?

The jacking point is essentially a tube sandwiched between 2 vertical plates Its rarely that that it crumbles completely. If you cut away the front surface of the sill round the tube you should be able to see the extent of any damage. Some detail here.

Worst comes to the worst a good body fabricator/Welder might be able to modify the later W202 part A2026300331 OR A2026300431 to fit. Still available afaik.:dk:

When I had the jacking points done on my AMG, the guy had to fabricate that part on my 202 as it was either on back order or not available any longer from MB.
If you look on the link below you will see the 202 jacking point is almost identical in construction as the 124 item and mine had disintergrated, if you look at the pics on page 1 you will see what I mean, though I,m pretty convinced mine was caused by the drains of the sills being blocked and them filling up with water.

The part you need is A2016160247 which is showing as £7.07 from Inchcape.

That part is used to re-enforce the lower part of the sill where the big plastic pad is fixed. It won't sort any damage to the underlying structure if there is any.

Car mechanics covered this on a 124 using the 201 part but assumes that the vertical bits and the Tube itself is sound
Merc do a vertical jacking point repair for the 210 maybe that could be tweaked to fit ? like the 201 part is tweaked to fit the 124 here W124 E Class jacking Points (rear ) - Mercedes-Benz Owners' Forums
