Car
W124 Superturbodiesel and a 1952 John Deere G. Lots of old bikes too.
has anyone done this? anyone know which wires are the pwr/gnd and signal?

have converted my car to 6 speed manual and have lost the cable drive as a result.

cheers,

Max

Do a search for a product called 'Cable X', that will convert the speed signal to cable drive.

Saw your post over on STD. I'm a bit confused as to exactly what you need.
Do you now have a cable drive at the gearbox or electric, or nothing? And what type of speedo head are you trying to drive?

Derek.

The standard speedo is cable driven which normally plugs into the standard gearbox. It has a 6 speed conversion so the standard box isnt there to plug into.

No idea. Its from a w211 e270 cdi though

Pulled this from t'web which shows an electric drive bottom left which is probably the speedo and will undoubtedly connect through the can bus. So you're probably gubbed for using the in-house system.

Pick a system from here and graft it into your binnacle.
