W124: SRS airbag light flickering..help?

W124 / E320 / 1996: SRS airbag light flickers on and off -

local MB dealer quoting minimum two hours at £100/hr to even begin attempting a diagnosis -

wondered if anyone experienced a similar problem, found a solution, or knows someone competent in reach of west London who can sort it at a reasonable price!

Any thoughts much appreciated...

Sounds like the passenger seat detector under the seat. Have a look to see if there is anything obvious before spending money mate.
