w124 steel wheel trims

can these still be bought new? strangely i like them better than the alloys i currently have on my 220 (they go better with cloth seats for proper austerity spec)

Yes. Easily available from main dealer. Go for the ones with the chrome rim. Look much classier. All bar the 320 had steel rims as standard. If mine had the steel rims I would keep them on. I Like them.

Sorry, but even if the car is totally unmolested, the plastic wheel covers (as nice as they are) don't look nearly as good as the 15 inch 8-hole alloys. I swapped the steel wheels on mine with an original set of 8-holes and it totally improved the look of the car.
Totally agree, make sure you get the plastic trims with the chrome edge.

i had swapped my steel wheels with trims for those alloys 5 years ago. i just like the look of them on a basic e220. any idea how much they cost?

the steel wheels and trims are excellent in my opinion
very understated , im going to use mine with winter tyres at the end of the year
the alloys werent essential they just happened

Really good looking car, but if it was mine, I`d fit the W210 original style trims.

A signal red 190D ; way back in `88. Gross Tank, outside temp. anzeiger and a Blaupunkt were the only extras I could afford at the time.
