W124 Steering Wheel

Hi does anyone know if this will fit a 1990 W124

wood leather steering wheel mercedes w210 w124 w202... on eBay (end time 15-Oct-10 18:04:55 BST)

If so does anyone have a used one cheaper or know of where i can get a used one

Does it have a steering wheel airbag ?

its a 1990 H, No it does not have a airbag

Well the wheel on Ebay doesn't come with one , so you'd need to get one ( it wouldn't work though ) ...

I imagine it will probably fit on the spline ok , but sourcing an airbag could be expensive .....

That's a modified / customised leather wheel, not an original, genuine Mercedes Burr walnut & leather wheel.

On the MB version the angle where the wood meets the leather is different.

Can i not put the steering wheel on and just leave the airbag bit empty? since i dont have a airbag anyway?

here is a cheap insert, if u search on w124 airbag on ebay, they vary in cost

not my bag personally, that wheel has shades of the late 90's AMG contast leather interiors , I dont think it will be in keeping with your CE IMHO.

Spot on. Our very own Jaymanak has a W124 wood/leather airbag wheel fitted to his W123 saloon... Looks fine in that so should look fine in any W124.....

Besides the obvious enhanced look of a burl wood/leather wheel, its the feel of one of these to the touch that makes them worth the money imo.

Decided im going to stick to the one in the Link i originally posted, as it suites the car best and gives it the original look for its age.

They don`t come as often mate,I took me a good while to find the one you seen on my black car.

Not in any rush as car still needs to go in for re-spray and bumpers to be fitted etc
