that looks in really good condition,
were these the ones with the wiring harness issues that required replacing the engine bay loom ?

Yes i was thinking it could need a loom hence the Price..... Cheap Merc's are usually cheap for a reason in my experience.

    Lovely car other than that.

I think these early M111s have the PMS ignition modules which go faulty hence no spark.

Very very expensive to replace (eg 2x the price of the car) and hard to find secondhand hence I reckon it’s not been fixed.

Otherwise looks fairly tidy for the money although that last MOT test was almost four years ago - who knows what sort of work it needs now?

It was the early M104s that had that issue, the 300-24...M111 does suffer the same coil loom issues as the later M104s

No definitely the M111 I’m thinking of Dash with PMS issues although as you say the 300-24s used to suffer faults with the ignition modules on those too :thumb:

    [SOLVED] - W124 E200 with no ignition on cylinders 1 and 4

I assume it is a lot of work to "drop" in a 230k M111 from a slk/c class?

Depends, if you have a complete donor car then yes, if you just have the engine then double yes.
