Hi all,

I have just purcahsed another W124 estate, with a few issues to sort. The passenger front window makes a noise when the button is depressed, but nothing happens. I took the door card off today, had a look and there is noise from the motor, but no movement at all from the teethed part and glass.

I have looked at the How To on here and checked my haynes manual, however they both say that you have to lower the window fully to access the bolt that holds the glass in place and attaches it to the regulator.

Problem is that I cannot move the mecahnism fully down, as its not working! I undid all bolts and managed to lower its a little, but cannot access the bolt in question! Any sugestions?

Ian

Thanks Andy,

I did this today and can drop the motor down, however the window then will not drop fully down like this and I need it fully down to reach the bolt!

Not sure what to do! More fiddling and greasy cut fingers tomorrow I think!

If you get the motor out of the way the window should drop.

Failing that just take out all the fittings for the reg, and let the lot drop, then you can get to the nut on the bottom of the drop glass.
