w124 windows only open when one of the doors is open on coupe/convertible

hope this may be of any assistance.
my W124 does the same from time to time,when I open the door the windows open .what I really do now is when windows stop opening I hit the steering wheel,the SRS lights up and the window open!!!
There is a ring under the steering wheel that needs clean,I have to remove the steering to clean it,didn't find a trusty indy to do so.

That sounds far more like the common ignition switch problem, hitting the steering wheel will jog the contacts in the ignition switch - evidenced by the fact the SRS light comes on, probably only for a second or two...

that is right Alex...SRS light comes on for a second or two.never heard about the common ignition problem.
