W125 Paint Codes

Hi Guys

My W126 (very early 1981 car) is silver. I am about to get some paintwork done and my Merc dealer tells me the paint code 795 is actually lugano grey which I find strange for a silver car. I would say my car is bright silver. Does anyone have any opinions/ideas?

If its any consolation to you my w124 is 702 smoke silver but looks more like gold metallic in most lights.

Wonder if he misread the paint code figure 795 Lugano grey is very like 735 Astro Silver metallic clearcoat?

The W125 , IIRC , was only available in unpainted silver metallic , after the German national white paint was scraped off to meet the 750 Kg weight restrictions .
