W126 300se misfire / hesitation

Hi

I’m experiencing a slight misfire in my 1988 W126 300SE. It seems to be when the engine is warm, i.e. after around 10 mins of driving. When I accelerate there is a hesitation / misfire type of thing happening! Very frustrating!

Any thoughts what this might be?

Just FYI, I have a new distributor cap, rotor arm, leads and plugs already.

Have you fitted the correct 'none resister' type plugs?

The plugs are from the dealership. Beru I think.

Had the same issue with mine- also with a new distributor cap- the carbon brush in the centre wasn't making a good contact with the rotor arm. I stretched the spring very slightly, and sprayed some silicon in and it'd been faultless since.
