I've been looking for a source for some of the 126 bits I'll need for my new 560 SEL.
I've come across a man with a J reg 500 SEL with a dead engine which is going to the crusher on MONDAY.
It's silver with a black leather interior (driver's seat thrashed). I've struck a deal with the guy where I pay him x amount & can take anything I want off the car this Sunday afternoon ONLY.
I'm taking the wings, ignition control module, relays, alternator, switches, wood, lights, mirrors, bumpers, steering wheel, gearshift, footrests & quite a few other bits. I can't take gearboxes, exhausts or anything big as it has to fit into a 190E & be removed in a couple of hours.
If any body wants anything please pm with details & a price you're offering & I'll see if I can get it. It will save some of the parts, keep other 126s on the road & help pay for my bits!
If anybody can also recommend or suggest bits I should take as 1) I might need them one day or, 2) they're insanely expensive new I'd be very glad to hear from you.
