Took the cover off my SEC today to find a pool of water in the left rear foot well and some dampness in the left front.
Where could it have come from? Suggestion please!

The usual suspects include the rear window, the surround of which leaks and rots the parcel shelf, and blocked sunroof drains.

Hi,what kind of cover was it? ie, if waterproof then the fluid must have come from inboard. If not waterproof then the above would be a good start. How long was it under cover?.

Its been under the cover for about 6months. Pretty sure its a waterproof cover but will check.

Thanks!

You can check for parcel shelf tinworm by putting your head in the boot and looking upwards at the underside of the shelf.

Seeing as there is damp in the front as well it may be worth checking any drains around the rear of the front wings where they meet the lower edge of the windscreen. It's a favourite spot for collecting leaves, twigs and conkers.

Sunroof drains could be corroded where the rubber hoses meet the metal.
