So I have recently been looking around at w126 560 SELs... Do amg versions ever come up, in good condition? Looking at the 1000sel.com website you have to wonder - whatever happened to all those crazy tuned up w126s? Are they all stored away with collectors? Anyone got one?!

There was a 1000SEL on eBay a week or so back , but it was a dog and only good for spares .
There are still plenty of good W126's about - you would be best buying the best standard car you can find , then retrofitting the AMG bits if that is what you want .
