w126 automatic transmission fluid

I have a W126 300SE (1987). At what intervals should I change the automatic transmission fluid and filter, and what is a good manufacturer. I am using Fuch's Titan for my engine oil, is the same manufacturers automatic transmission fluid also recommended? Do I have to get the filter from Mercedes or do other people supply them? Is it a difficult job? Since I had my engine rebuilt at Crewe engines I have done 47,948 miles so I am concerned that perhaps I have left the fluid change a bit late - will this have caused any damage to my gearbox? My car is a left hand drive import and the handbook is in German which is not a great help. If anyone knows where I can obtain an English handbook for this model that would be a great comfort (it would save me having to check everything in my English/German dictionary)..

Use Dextron II spec atf

Buy the filter and gasket from MB (quality is better)

And do it every 18,000.
