Hi, i'm quite new to here, but not to Mercedes ownership. After almost 10 years, I've decided to finally treat the old girl to a new front wing. I have had the rusty area just above the front bumper repaired previously, but that did not last.

Just wondered if I should have the new panel painted before fitting it myself or let the body shop do the whole job. Need some advice as I've read that it might take some fettling to get it to fit and I wouldn't want to mark a freshly painted panel. BTW the seller claims the panel is a new genuine Mercedes part. As my car is a daily driver, a seamless paint match isn't a worry. Any idea on how much a wing would cost to paint?

If its a new Mercedes Panel then the fit should be good, although there is always some adjustment necessary.

However you will need to let a bodyshop do the job IMO as they will need to paint (or at least lacquer) the surrounding panels to ensure an even finish.
