I'm looking to obtain a Power Steering Pump and Steering Box for a 1990 W126 300SE. Failing that, then a part number for either.
Does anyone know if the parts were used on other MB cars?
Thanks for any advice and help in advance.

Yes Mercman are very helpful and give a really quick service. If you want new and are prepared to pay MB prices Mercedes-Benz of Poole are good at supplying classic parts I get most parts for the W116 from them. Email [email protected] you don't need a part number just model and chassis and he will give you a price.

EPC list the following parts for steering box.

A126 1460 1401, which seems to have been superseded by A126 1460 1501.

That part seems to be valid for all 126 models, SE, SEL and SEC, and all engine variants.

Inchcape retail the 1501 part new at GBP 1488.24 (ouch).

Anyway you should be able to get a used box off any 126, or get it refurbed.

The power steering pump seems to be specific to the M103 engine with different variants for with and without Self Levelling Suspension. The latest part number seems to be A126 460 3880. (3580 and 3780 the preceding part numbers)

Hope that helps.
