So ive ordered the parts and im planning the following over the next few weeks;

timing chain
upper guide rails
tensioner rail lining
tensioner

From the manual the procedure;

1. Remove spark plugs
2. remove rocker arms on right hand camshaft
3. Remove chain tensioner
4. Cut old chain
5. attatch new chain to old
6. Rotate engine, feeding in new chain, pulling up old chain keeping it on the sprocket
7. remove old chain and fix new chain ends together

So first any idea which side i cut th chain on, i cant see it making any difference although if i cut it on the left side it might be difficult to keep tension on the feed and stop the cam 'coging' due to valve spring force.

Secondly, do i need to remove the right hand rockers as it requires a special tool? Surely if cut the chain whilst at TDC, when all fed through it should come back to TDC then I can line up the camshaft TDC markings and wrap the chain over it. I imagine there will be some valve spring resistance when getting the camshaft to TDC, so a second pair of hands will have to link the chain for me.

Alternatively does anyone knows any other ways of removing the rockers without the special tool?
