Hi, any ideas on how to access the boot of my 1995 S420 W140 (central locking has packed up possible fault in convenience features module). I have tried with the key and although it fits it will not turn :(

Hi, Anesh. I had this problem too and it proved to be that the deadlock had ceased to operate. The boot was opened by removing the rear seat and getting the mechanic to go in and free the deadlock, which I have since dispensed with. I believe that some cars do not have the deadlock fitted anyway. However, I still think that someone will have to get into the boot via the rear seat, not an easy task. Luckily I live in Spain so the labour costs are much more reasonable.

Just keep working at the key with lubricant and effort. It will go eventually.
