Hi there,

I noticed yesterday that my climate control was in EC mode and I can't turn it off?

If I restart the car I can turn it off but after some time of driving the EC mode turns itself on again and I can't turn it off.

Any ideas?

hello james, this suggests you have low refrigerant pressure. you have two ways of proceeding - either have it plugged in to a diagnostic rig by a competent MB specialist, or have the pressure checked by an aircon specialist. if the pressure is low you then need a leak test doing to see why. this is when having the aircon specialist on hand helps - a teccie with a laptop cannot trace a minor refrigerant leak.

I had the AC regassed in September. Maybe there is a leak?

I shall get it checked out next week.

Almost certainly a leak - It should hold pressure for years. You need to find out exactly where it's leaking from, repair/replace and then have it properly serviced/regassed.
