w140 soft door closures

hi, my soft door closures on my 1993 500 140 coupe have not worked for some time,,, any ideas on how to fix it.

there is an excellent article on this problem by Brett Allison on the "uber alles" website, basically you can repair the pump and it will cost you nothing, or you buy a new one for approx.£500! The third option is just close the doors and boot lid yourself. Brett is on http://v12uberalles.com
