Good evening to all,
2003 ML270 (W163), the bulb has blown on the ashtray illumination.
Have scoured various forums on this, but cannot find a definite answer on how to replace.
There are several horror stories on removing the entire centre console in order to remove the complete ashtray, but surely even Mercedes would not make you do this just to replace a bulb?
I can remove the ashtray insert easy enough by using the slider switch, but then cannot see how to remove the cigarette lighter part in order to get to the connector which holds the bulb. As always with interior trim, not keen to put too much rice on anything without knowing how the clips are located to avoid that dreaded plastic snapping sound.
Can anyone help please?
