My 03 plate ML 270 has electric folding mirrors, I'm also guessing they are heated, but I'm not sure they are working on the heating side as all cars I've had in the past the mirror heaters work when I switch on the rear screen demister, other than stripping all the mirrors down is there a simple way to test these or do they activate another way?
Also I know this probably isn't a factory option on this car, but does anyone know if its possible to get them to auto fold when the alarm is activated, in the past I've lost a couple of mirrors to passing traffic (on other cars) due to having to park on narrow streets. I know I can try to remember to press the close button on the centre console but I know I won't always remember.
