Guys, looking for some guidance on what to do here.
Have a 2002 ML270 with the dreaded power loss issue that's been diagnosed as the Inlet Port Shut Off Motor.

I have a few options available to me.

New part from Merc is €230 + €180 for my mechanic to fit.
2nd hand part with warranty is €85 +€180 for my mechanic to fit.
Removal of flaps and motor and ECU map to fix errors is €450.

What is the best option in your opinion.

Thanks,
Keith.

Complete manifold and motor aftermarket but oem quality with seals around 300 on eBay. Then labour to fit.

Thanks Jay, but full power resumed just after I created this thread and the car has been fine until this weekend when all power has gone again.

So I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get it sorted this time around.
Just don't know whether to replace motor and risk same problems down the line or remove.

Just to update this thread, as it was the motor causing problems, I had a local guy that does remapping/diagnostics etc have a look at the car.

He was able to code out the function of the motor, and remap the jeep so not on
Y have I got full, power back, but q little extra too!

Total cost was €200.
