W163 key - just unlock drivers door?

Hi all,

Just got a W163. The manual says pressing the unlock button once should unlock just the drivers door, then pressing it again does the rest of em.

But, it looks like pressing it once opens all the doors.

Anyone know how/if I can change the setting?

Try holding down both the lock and unlock button on fob for a few seconds until the Red light flashes in fob.
Repeat again to undo.

The way for enabling this function is described in the manual. It changes between the pre MY2002 facelift and the MY2002 onward cars and invloved pressing a combination of buttons on the dashboard I think.

I can't remember how I did it since its some years since I had a W163, but defo in the manual

Perhaps you'd like to post the answer once you discover it

PS, auto locking on reaching 5mph(ish) can be enabled too. I think early cars need Star Diagnosis to enable some of the functions
