The ML passed it's MOT at the weekend but the tester commented that the parking brake would benefit from being adjusted - slightly weaker on offside.
Just Googled and found what would appear to be a useful MB-dealer document, but curious if anyone here has done it? Available here:

So if I understand this right the parking brake can be adjusted WITHOUT removing the wheel - just need to remove a single bolt on each rear wheel - and then adjust using a screwdriver through the now empty bolt hole.
Is that right? Almost seems too easy!!
If the above is correct, then I can't see why the document flags a risk of damage for alloy wheels, as it seems less likely to damage whilst adjusting that removing. What am I missing?
How do I found out if I have push-notch or pull-notch pedal assembly?
