W163 ML320 After Market Halogen Headlights

Hi, I have a legal requirement to change my UK Headlights over to EU spec lights when my newly acquired ML320 arrives over here in France.

Question, sticking with Halogen, does anyone know if the more modern style Projector Light electrical connections are plug and play going from the older original flat lens type lights to Projector Halogen.

and I suppose, will after market styles including a DRL strip work?

I am staying with Halogen and NOT trying to go Zenon. But are there 'Eb...' lights out there that simply don't work on a 2000 W163

I have 1 month to get this sorted, and don't want to order lights that won't work.

Any help much appreciated.

Facelift 163 lights physically fit , but require some creative wiring as the fogs are in the lights on the pre facelift and the bumper on the post.

We've fitted the later lights into our older w163 but got an auto electrician to do it.

Cheers, sadly Auto Electricians are not exactly thick on the ground out here in the sticks.

Presumably they required some sort of 'double connector' adapter to take the bumper wire back into the headlamp unit?
