Hi MB Forum, need help/advise again please....I believe that there have been two recalls on the Power steering hose/clamp on my ML 2000 W163 model. I called RAC out when car wouldnt start after sitting on drive most of last year, as had big "black death" injector probs and had to save up to get done, lol sob sob. Still gave me time to read up on MB forums on the issue. Thats sorted now. The prob is, when i tried to start car, it wouldnt turn over. RAC came, started straight away with jump leads. I went out, came home and next day found a small pool of fluid on drive. Rang RAC again they came out and said there was a slight leak from the power steering pipes to the rack. I said it was due to go in for big service shortly to have the injectors repaired. They said wasnt a big prob, just to keep an eye on fluid and top up as needed until sorted. I had a full service, injectors and carbon sorted at injector specialist, and they also tightened hose. Only to notice the day after a decent run out; itis still leaking slightly on drive. Do you think i should ask/get garage to fit a new hose and clamp, as i believe this was the reason for w163 recalls; re clamp not strong enough to withold the pressure in hose. As at the second time of recall the procedure was different and involved changing the hose from the rad to the steering cylinder. Thanks in advance
