I just picked up a 2003 ML270 CDI at a country auction for not very much, and drove it home. Noticed two things, but otherwise seems a fine car to chug through the winter with.
First one seems a common, cheap and easy fix in that it's running a bit cold at about 60degrees. I'll pop a new thermostat on it tomorrow.
Secondly I've had a google, but can't find an answer for this. Took long enough to find out what the light was referring too...
The Steering wheel lock warning lamp is on, although the column is very definitely locked. Is this something other people have seen and is there a sensible place to check first?
Also, if anyone has a link to an owners manual for a 2003 ML270 CDI I'd be very grateful. This one hasn't got the book in the car as far as we can find.. Hence the difficulty I had in finding what the light was referring to. I can find manuals online for all the other models, but not the 270.
