w163 turbo problem

Hello,

on my w163 ML 270 CDI 2004 the turbo is not kicking on every time.

According to some local garage I need to change some inlet manifold do not ask how much this will cost. I am really not convinced, because other garage have tried to fix it and have told me they already have changed some electronic module and have fixed it. It was working fine for a while and now it is worst.

The turbo kicks offs randomly and nnot every time. I put the pedal to the floor and the engine is working like atmospheric only, no turbo and painfully slow getting higher RPMs.

Not sure am I imagine this but when I top up the tank full it works better.

Any ideas?

ok I have checked the car with a local garage - clearly it is the inlet manifold.

Where do I find the parts code for the inlet manifold and for the stepper motor?

I know only Mercedes stock that, still I have friends in EU mercedes outlet abroad and may try to get it cheaper from there.

I also have an appointment next week with proper Mercedes garage TM Motors Mercedes specialist service & repair - Surrey to check that again and make sure Star fault codes show what exactly is wrong.
