Hi m trying to find a guide on removing the chrome trim on my tailgate for wrapping?
I don’t want to wrap it on the car. It’s a much better job done off the car and refitted.
It’s a 2018 w166 suv
Any help would be much appreciate guys.

If it is anything like the W205, it may be stuck on with double sided tape. The way to check is get some fishing line around the back of it and pull across...thats the way they take these off if they are stuck on.

By the way, I am also in the process of changing the colour of my chrome boot trim and was advised by the people that do the wrapping not to wrap it as it will start to fade, so I am getting mine body colour sprayed at a body shop instead.

If it's the same as a W204 there's 2 torx screws underneath & it's then held in place with 3 lugs that push into the bootlid, I used a body trim removal tool to get it free from the lugs.
