Hi - hope someone can help. The indicator and parking light have stopped working on my 2013 ML350, headlight is working fine...any ideas what it could be? Presume the wet weather has got something to do with it. Appreciate any help. I'm based in Maidenhead, so any recommendations for decent MB specialist nearby who could help would be good too.

Hi, a little bit more info may assist others to answer your query, as in do you have ILS or have you got standard halogen headlights? Assuming you refer to the front indicator as you mention the headlight?

Hi Abb - thanks for coming back to me. Yes, I have ILS and yes it's the front indicator. I jumped the gun a bit and bought a replacement headlamp unit from a breaker thinking that would fix the problem but having fitted it, I'm left with exactly the same problem - main beam is working (and self-levelling or whatever it does on startup) but no indicator or side light, so the issue seems to be with the led bar which runs across the top of the unit. Could it be the control module, or would that mean the main beam wouldn't work either??? I'm well out of my depth with this one!

And out of pocket!

Thanks for the clarification :) I am not sure if the control module was stop the headlight functioning altogether. My advice would be to get it onto star to have the fault diagnosed before throwing anymore hard earned at it. I would have thought it was the LED strip failing but for the replacement to have the same fault, I have my doubts, as the sidelight/indicator to have failed in the first instance I would have thought is pretty rare.

(I too have the ML W166 with the same set up)

Apologies but not entirely sure what all that info means. Looks like you have a number of faults, but some may no longer be current. Did the dealer/garage who carried out the diagnostic not try and explain any of it??
