W166 tow bar

Hi all,
I am looking to fit one of these bike racks to my 2014 W166 ML350. I have a factory fitted electric tow bar. Please can some one tell me what the downwards weight limit is for the tow bar ball? Before I make the purchase and fit the rack and bike I want to make sure the tow bar can easily hold the weight. The bike rack and bike combined weighs about 125kg

Check either your handbook or there should be some info on the tow bar supplier web site. Most caravans go at around 80kg, so 125kg may need some additional strengthening, or may not be legally allowed. My advice, buy a trailer.
