W169 A180 CDI gearbox selector out of position

Hi everyone. I am new in the forum. I have A180 CDI 2005.
I went to a mechanic who change the clutch, flywheel, gearbox cables. I notice the gear selector was not in the right place and he told me I need to get used to have the gears like this. Now I can't put the 5th and 6th gear because the 3rd and 4th are in there position.
I notice as well the car don't have power. I accelerate but the power is not going to the wheels.

Anyone's had this problem.

Take it straight back to your mechanic and tell him to sort it out. Don't take no for an answer.
