W169 Command 2.5 Bluetooth / comfort phone??

Dear all

We have just bought a 2008 facelift w169 A170.

The car has the factory Command 2.5 system installed.

The bluetooth refuses to automatically connect to my blackberry, but will do so if the phone is selected from the bluetooth menu.

There is also a "comfort phone" option listed on the screen and I note some sort of phone holder in the compartment by the gear lever. There is no phone there though.

Is there a way to have the bluetooth automatically connect?

Does anyone know what phone is mean to fit into the holder?

The Blackberry should auto connect each time you get into the car. I suspect its a setting on the Blackberry thats stopping this happening.

the connector in the centre is for a phone cradle. either bluetooth or a specific one for a dedicated phone.

Hi Alfie - it doesn't autoconnect which is the exact problem.

I need to manually select it every time.

Any ideas on what could be the matter?

Make sure the blackberry is at the latest S/W level and also turn off all the security stuff on the blackberry.
