while since I was on the forum. I recently had a major engine out overhaul, including timing chain and cylinder head overhaul on 2005 W169. A new non Mercedes starter was fitted. 3 months later starter burnt out and replaced by garage under warranty. Was told starter was full of water when removed, is it possible that a drain from windscreen area is causing this issue. In information would be useful. I am hoping it is a one off. Thanks in anticipation.
