W176 Command unit issue

I have an A180d 2017 with a W176 NTG5.1 command unit. It has stopped working and wont power on
All fuses are good
There is power going to the unit
The bottom row ie. hazards etc still works
I have attempted software reset on the unit to no avail
All functions ie camera, usb charger radio nothing works or powers on
The unit has come on randomly a couple of times in the last couple of week for no apparent reason and gone off again when engine turned off

All wires at back of head unit are connected correctly and in good condition
not sure what else it could be

Hi Luke, I wanted to check if you got this issue resolved? I am having the exact same issue with my sister's car.
