Would someone please tell me where the engine block drain plug for the coolant is?

I need to replace the thermostat and would like to completely flush the system which, ideally, would mean the whole block.

Failing that, would a serious and long flush through the rad hoses be adequate?

Bottom right of the rad is a large plastic screw accessed from underneath, also nozzle to fit small piece of pipe for directing flow :thumb:

Thanks for that Spock500 but I was after the position of the drain plug in the engine block itself.

I understand that to flush the system completely you need to drain the bottom of the block as well as the top and radiator.

That's what I would do - flush it until water runs clear

Right hand (Starboard)side of Engine Block

Accessible from underneath,You'll get a "Face-Full" if not careful.
'Loosen with wrench, fit hose on nipple, fully loosen.

It's #12 in the Pictogram.
(Note: you' re "Looking" at it from the wrong side in the Pictogram,That's
why it's orifice in the block is portrayed in dotted lines.)

It's likely to be the same as the 102 and 103 engines. 19mm ring key with the open end cut off and a pipe extension over. The first time I did this it was very tight. The exhaust downpipe gets in the road.
