W202 AMG Bumpers

Shipping will cost a fortune, and they're just fibreglass replicas, so what's the quality/fitting going to be like?
Well Khz is interested because they do cheap sideskirts. Sideskirts are just there to be pretty and fibreglass ones will be fine, a lot of car companies use GRP for bumpers and sideskirts so I'd not worry about it.

The bumpers will probably be supplied as skins and will require a creative bodyshop to fit and then paint. How they will end up looking is basically down to the bodyshop.

The central bar between the foglamps is £117.38

Woah, I bought the complete front bumper, that bar, fogs, all the wiring, all the seals & attachments for not more than that!

Methinks I should chain that front bar to the car in future

Here are some pics of my car filled with 202 facelift bumpers and sideskirts :)

Ah yes, I remember that day with all the spiders etc :D

The spiders had my car alarm going off every 5 minutes and the snails left trails all over the dashboard. I found them under the seats, dead and covered in fluff a few days later.

So , are we saying that these fibreglass bumpers and not worth fitting ?

I would like to do the C43 conversion on my facelift but to be honest I don't want to spend crazy money on the car, especially the way the car has gone down in value over the past 12 months since the release of the new C class !

As Shude said, Fibreglass will be fine for the sideskirts IMO, they dont suffer the same punisment as the bumpers (impacts causing cracks, stone clips etc).

I would steer clear of getting fibreglass bumpers though!

True, the side skirts would probably be fine, I'd rather not have fibre glass bumpers  ...anyone seen what happens to TVR's in an accident?

Nice one farouq. Next you should de-chrome the door rubbing strips and get them sprayed body colour along with doing the same for the door handles.

I've got the bumpers on. Thanks to killerhertz how to guide.
i have updated the members gallery http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=33793

let me know what you think.

Looks great. You can't tell unless you look closely, that the colour of the rubbing strips is different to the bumpers. I also think the sideskirts currently look good with the bumper. Good job.

Thanks for your replys.
I will proberly get the mouldings sprayed in the summer.
The sideskirts do look okay, i will most likely leave them how they are.
The exhaust is a powerflow exhaust. there is one back box with two pipes coming out of it, the pipe on the right has been pulled along the back bumper. hope that makes sense.
