I'm new here and i keep being amazed at all the knowledge and nice 'vibe' on this forum
I would like to ask you're help on the following. I own a 1996 W202 C220 and as a project i'm trying to install an APS2 system (Blaupunkt) and challenging myself to find and buy the various components along the way. So far i only have a new headunit, the navi-computer is on the way. Since there is not alot to find on the web about this system and the lacking of a manual, i have a few questions.
1. Is the original cable for the computer and cd-changer still available via Mercedes? And is it some sort of split cable (mini-iso from HU to navi-computer/cd-changer? Do i need an original cable or is a Blaupunkt cable also a possibility?
2. The HU works fine (as a radio
) but the display keeps asking for the code (saying right under the radiofrequenty: 'code aktivieren') Althought the radio works, it's kinda annoying to keep seeing it asking for the code. Looks like i stole it now But whatever i push on the unit, it just won't allow me to enter the code from te codecard. Anyone have an idea how to get it in 'entry-mode'
It's alot to ask but any tips would be greatly appreciated. And excuse my poor english, i'm Dutch.
