W202-C180:Resetting the Service Indicator?

Can anyone please advise me on how to reset the SRS indication? I have already tried two differing methods but although the SRS goes off it re-appears after (around) 5 seconds. There is no audible warning, probably my beloved C180 (1995 model) is a bit elderly for such, unless of course you know better? Thank you for your time!

SRS is not the service indicator - it's an airbag fault - need dealer to reset

check the wires for the seatbelt pretentioners under both front seats..... then check the connections at the seatbelt buckle side... if still no luck, off to the dealer i'm afraid. you may need to go to the dealer anyway to turn it off even after you've reconnected the wires (if they indeed need to be)
